BEU graduate to continue his studies at University of Cambridge

Ilham Samadov, a graduate of Baku Engineering University's (BEU) "Finance" specialty, has been admitted to the master's program at the University of Cambridge, one of the world's most prestigious higher education institutions.
The BEU graduate will continue his studies in "Finance" in England, at a university ranked among the top ten in the 2027 QS World University Rankings.
Ilham Samadov graduated from Neftchala District Secondary School No. 3 with a gold medal. He won first place and a gold medal in Geography at the Republican Subject Olympiad. Admitted to BEU's "Finance" specialty with a score of 664, the graduate completed his bachelor's studies with an overall average performance score of 91.3.
Achieving a number of successes during his higher education, Ilham Samadov was also among the winners of the "I Am an Azerbaijani" national knowledge competition.
Currently possessing professional experience in the fields of finance, accounting, and audit, the BEU graduate works at the Baku office of EY, one of the world's leading audit and consulting firms. Over the years, he has worked in the positions of specialist, expert, and senior expert, and currently serves as a manager. Ilham Samadov is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Having managed various teams during his professional career, Ilham Samadov has taken part in the implementation of large-scale and multidisciplinary projects. He has gained rich practical experience in improving audit, finance, and accounting processes, developing corporate reporting systems, and applying international financial standards.
The BEU graduate stated that he aims to apply the advanced knowledge and skills he will gain at the University of Cambridge in Azerbaijan in the future, contributing to the sustainable development of the country's financial sector and economy, as well as to the broader application of international practices.
It should be noted that Ilham Samadov would continue his master's studies within the framework of the "State Program for Youth Education at Prestigious Higher Education Institutions of Foreign Countries for 2022-2028."
