AZERBAIJAN’S AMBASSADOR IN JAKARTA MEETS INDONESIAN MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION
The Ambassador informed the Indonesian Minister about economic development of Azerbaijan as well as its relations with neighboring countries, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines projects.
Ibrahim Hajiyev said Azerbaijan’s GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth rate is 38 percent today.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the Ambassador said Armenia occupied twenty percent of Azerbaijan’s territory forcing over one million of Azerbaijanis to flee their homeland.
Mr. Hajiyev pointed to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s efforts towards finding a peaceful solution to the dispute in accordance with the principle of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador welcomed the declaration of the Riga Summit of NATO supporting territorial integrity and sovereignty of the South Caucasus nations and Moldova.
Indonesian Minister of Information and Communication, Sofyan Jalil, said the European Union and international community condemn separatism.
He also expressed his wish to visit Azerbaijan.
