Azeri MP attends conference on Khojaly Genocide in Izmir
Baku, February 23 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani MP, member of Azerbaijan-Turkey interparliamentary friendship group Ganira Pashayeva has attended a conference on “Khojaly tragedy and so-called Armenian genocide” at the Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey.
The event was held at the initiative of the Federation of Turkey-Azerbaijan Associations and Turkish World Economic Research Association.
Prior to the conference, participants viewed an exhibition and watched a documentary on the tragedy.
Addressing the event, Pashayeva said the massacre in Khojaly was an act of genocide against the whole humanity, not just Azerbaijan.
She emphasized the perpetuators of the Khojaly genocide would be brought to justice.
The MP invited the participants of the conference to join “We all are from Khojaly, We are from Karabakh” a rally to be held at the Taksim Square.
Deputy Chief of Azerbaijan State Committee on Diaspora Javanshir Valiyev briefed participants on the Khojaly tragedy.
