AZERI MPs VISIT EGYPT
Baku, 21 December (AZERTAC). An Azerbaijani Parliamentary delegation is visiting Egypt. The delegation includes first Deputy Chairman of Milli Majlis Ziyafat Asgarov, member of Azerbaijan-Egypt Interparliamentary Friendship Group Govhar Bakhshaliyeva and senior adviser of international relations department of the Parliament Aynur Adurova.
The delegation visited the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan-Egypt park of Al Qanatir al Khayriyah city. Reforms in various areas, including education were in the focus of meeting with Mayor Nagva Al-ashiri.
Azerbaijani Parliamentarians familiarized themselves with school after Mehriban Aliyeva in Al-Obour city.
On December 20, Azeri MPs met with Secretary General of the League of Arab States Amr Moussa. Mr. Asgarov said official visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Egypt in 2007 gave an impulse to development of further relations between the two countries. He told of negotiations carrying out in solution of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh. Mr. Asgarov thanked Mr. Moussa for support of Arabic states of Azerbaijan`s stance. He briefed about achievements in Azerbaijan`s economy. Mr. Moussa said the League of Arab States attaches high significance to Azerbaijan.
Azeri delegation also met with representatives of Egypt`s mass media.
