CENTER FOR STRATEGIC STUDIES HOSTS MEETING ON AZERBAIJAN-JAPAN RELATIONSHIP
Baku, 11 December (AZERTAC). A meeting on Azerbaijan-Japan relationship in the context of modern regional geopolitics has been held today in the Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijan President.
Attending the event, Japanese ambassador Masamitsu Oki made a presentation on political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan.
The ambassador said his country attaches significant importance to boosting cooperation with Azerbaijan. The diplomat underlined that President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to Japan in 2006 contributed to developing bilateral relationship.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Oki said the dispute must be settled on the basis of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and inviolability of its internationally recognized borders.
He also stressed the necessity of developing relations between Azerbaijan and Japan in tourism sphere.
The event was attended by officials of Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry, MPs, ambassadors, regional and international experts.
