Conference on 20th anniversary of Khojaly genocide held in Turkey
Baku, March 1 (AZERTAC). A conference on “Armenian claims and Khojaly massacre” to mark the 20th anniversary of Khojaly genocide was held in Gebze Institute of Technology in Kocaeli, Turkey.
First the participants saw a documentary called “Khojaly massacre”.
Speaking at the event member of the Azerbaijan National Assembly Ganira Pashayeva expressed the necessity of increasing efforts to make the world community aware of the realities about the Khojaly genocide. “If we do not do this, Armenians will continue to deceive the world community.”
Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sinan Ogan said for 20 years various events had been held in Turkey to commemorate victims of Khojaly genocide. “The Turkish people are well aware of the atrocities committed in Khojaly.” He added the Turkish parliament for the first time issued a statement on this tragedy.
