We managed to build a new climate diplomacy team from the ground in a limited time, said Yalchin Rafiyev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister and COP29 Lead Negotiator, during his remarks at the presentation ceremony of the special edition of the World of Diplomacy journal held at the ADA University in Baku.
The deputy minister noted that despite all the challenges the country faced during the preparations for the COP29, the successful organization of COP29 and its landmark decisions represent a significant legacy, strengthening international confidence for Azerbaijan.
Yalchin Rafiyev emphasized that by building bridges between nations, fostering open dialogue, Azerbaijan demonstrated constructive leadership during its presidency, adding that this commitment has solidified the country’s reputation as a reliable global partner and significantly increased its diplomatic prestige.
