Baku, May 19, AZERTAC
A thematic exhibition titled "From Micro Art to Architecture" opened at the pavilion of the Azerbaijan Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations as part of the Baku Urban Week, offering a new perspective on global urban planning philosophy at the WUF13 Urban Expo.
Organized by the Public Union "Support for the Protection and Promotion of Applied Art Samples", the exhibition captivated the audience with its concept of transforming historical heritage from static archival material into a dynamic project resource that helps shape the future image of modern cities.
Researcher and applied arts master Isgandar Sardarli, a member of the Azerbaijan Artists' Union, briefed visitors on the vital importance of preserving the characteristic elements of the rich cultural heritage of peoples in this new era of urban planning and architecture.
Toghrul Sardarli, Head of the Department of New Technologies and Innovations in Art at the Public Union and member of the Azerbaijan Artists' Union, provided insight into the essence of the special scientific methodology they created to transform cultural heritage elements into architecture using modern technologies.
The event also highlighted the institutional model by the Sardar Sandig Mujru Ojagi, which is unique in the world due to its format.
The institution, which preserves the names and philosophies of lost ancient treasures, represents the most practical response to UNESCO’s call for safeguarding cultural memory, while also addressing contemporary ecological and sustainable urban planning requirements.
