“Garadaghli genocide” book presented in Georgia
Baku, February 19 (AZERTAC). A book entitled “Garadaghli genocide” and video album “Azerbaijani realities” have been presented in Tbilisi.
Opening the event, chairman of the Cultural Center of Azerbaijanis Fazil Hasanov spoke of tragedies committed by Armenians against the Azerbaijani people throughout history.
Head of the Azerbaijan-Georgia interparliamentary friendship group, MP Ganira Pashayeva briefed the event participants on the genocide committed by Armenians in the Garadaghli village in Azerbaijan. Touching upon the Khojaly tragedy, Pashayeva noted commemorative events on the 21st anniversary of the massacre were being held in different regions of Georgia.
The MP also pointed out the “Azerbaijani realities” project, realized by the Eurasian International Research Institute together with the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan, saying it consists of 8 documentaries.
Member of the Georgian parliament Azer Suleymanov said crimes committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis must never be forgotten. He also underlined the necessity of continuing the work to deliver the Azerbaijani realities to the world.
