Kazakh head of state Tokayev briefed on main outcomes of COP29

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Zulfiya Suleimenova, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Special Representative of the President on International Environmental Cooperation, Akorda reports.
President Tokayev was briefed about the main outcomes of the 29th Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The Head of State heard a report on for the One Water Summit, set to take place on December 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Summit will be chaired by Kazakhstan and France under the support of the World Bank and Saudi Arabia.
Following the meeting, President Tokayev tasked to qualitatively elaborate the country’s initiatives in the field of ecology, conservation of water resources and biodiversity.
