Khojaly-1992 book in Harvard library
Baku, May 8 (AZERTAC). Copies of the "Khojaly-1992" book published by the Heydar Aliyev`s Heritage Research Center on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide in Azerbaijani, English, French and Russian have been included in the Library Fund at Harvard University, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science Fuad Babayev said.
He said books prepared by the Heydar Aliyev`s Heritage Research Center, are published not only in the Azerbaijani language, but also in the common foreign languages.
"The Khojaly-1992 book, which was published in February this year, is also published in the languages of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh," he said.
Previously, it was also the subject of discussion in the parliament of Belgium, which held hearings on "Occupied territory - the forgotten areas: legal and humanitarian aspects of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh".
The Armenian military forces committed genocide in Khojaly on Feb. 26, 1992. Some 613 people were killed, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 old men. A total of 1,000 civilians were disabled during the genocide. Eight families were annihilated, 130 children lost one parent, and 25 lost both. Additionally, 1,275 peaceful residents were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 remains unknown.
