Mukhtar Babayev: We presented fourteen COP29 action agenda initiatives at the UN

"Our trip to New York is very fruitful. We strive to attend and deliver speeches at all meetings hosted by the UN General Assembly,” Mukhtar Babayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, COP29 President-Designate, who is on a visit to New York, told AZERTAC.
Babayev noted that as part of the 79th session, several major events attracting the globe, including the "Summit of the Future” were held in New York. The minister emphasized that numerous decisions have been considered at the forum.
“In addition, "Climate Week" is also being held in New York. Azerbaijan's COP29 team is participating in "Climate Week" with a large delegation. We have a very busy schedule. There is great interest in the COP29 team and the event in Baku. Therefore, we strive to actively participate in any event in order to respond to their wishes and expectations,” Mukhtar Babayev underscored.
Highlighting the COP29 action agenda initiatives, the minister added: "We had the opportunity to present these initiatives here. The Transparency Platform was presented, with hundreds of people attending the presentation. Another very important aspect of COP29 is the topic of transparency in discussing financial issues. Ensuring transparency is a priority for us."
