RESULTS OF FIRST HALF YEAR DISCUSSED
A session related to the results of the first six months of 2003 was held at the State Customs Committee of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to hear reports by relevant departments and sub-divisions. It was noted that the six-month plan had been fulfilled resulting in certain success as of combat against smuggling and illicit drugs turnover. The attempt to smuggle 112.5 gm of heroine, 472.23 gm of opium, 220.89 gm of hashish from the Islamic Republic of Iran through Julfa customhouse to the Autonomous Republic has been suppressed.
Besides, as a result of an attestation 100 customs employees have passed for the mentioned period, 9 have been demoted.
