TURKEY`S ERDOGAN WARNS ARMENIA AGAINST PREREQUISITES
Ankara, January 21 (AZERTAC). Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned Armenia that conditions put forth by this country`s Constitutional Court will hault the process of normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations.
At a joint press-conference with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in Saudi Arabia, Erdogan said Constitutional Court`s decision has some questionable points, which Turkey can in no way accept. Turkey sent the protocols signed to the parliament without delay. We did not revise the document.
Recept Tayyip Erdogan stressed official Ankara does not intend to keep Armenia-Azerbaijan problem out of the normalization process. We mentioned it during and after signing the protocols.
I told Obama and Medvedev about it.
“Minsk Group must more concrete with respect to solution of the problem. If they speed up the issue, you will see how Turkey-Armenia relations will be concreticized. Occupied territories of Azerbaijan must be freed first,” he said.
