Anacláudia Rossbach: We focus on strategic plan for 2026-2029

“The impacts of the global housing crisis vary across countries, with certain regions and communities facing more severe challenges than others. At the same time, there are significant disparities in their existing capacities. In this regard, we must make effective use of the opportunities provided by WUF13, particularly the WUF Academy, to establish a unified platform. This collaboration should be built around a shared research agenda and aim to strengthen overall collective capacity,” said Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the UN Habitat, during the roundtable titled “Academy and Research" held as part of WUF13.
“We are also considering a strategic plan for 2026–2029, which will address issues such as land, informal settlements, resource sharing, urban planning, multilateral cooperation, and access to data. These are all very important matters. I hope this roundtable will help us reach a common understanding on various issues,” she added.
