Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University’s Guba branch expands cooperation with Uzbekistani universities

Professor Yusif Aliyev, Director of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ADPU), is on a working visit to Uzbekistan.
As part of the visit, Professor Yusif Aliyev held an academic seminar on “Methodology of Writing a Research Article in Materials Science” for the faculty and graduate students at the Asian University of Technologies. The seminar focused on the issues of planning scientific research, defining a research question, substantiating scientific innovation, organizing experiments, and presenting results in an academic article. The principles of proper analysis of research results, assessing the reliability of measurement data, and preparing scientific articles based on examples from the field of materials science were explained.
Professor Yusif Aliyev emphasized that the quality of a scientific article is determined not only by the number of measurements conducted, but also by the fact that the results obtained provide a substantiated answer to the research question and clearly present scientific innovation. He also highlighted the importance of analyzing scientific literature, testing hypotheses, interpreting experimental results, and correctly indicating the limitations of the research.
The presentation addressed the issues of modern research methods used in studying the structure and properties of materials, presenting scientific results in figures and tables, as well as reflecting information in the article that ensures the reproducibility of the research. The participants exchanged views on the preparation of scientific articles and their adaptation to the requirements of international scientific journals. The seminar continued with Q&A session and discussions.
The delegation led by Professor Yusif Aliyev also visited the Nizami Ganjavi National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan. During the meeting with the Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University, Dr. Dilnoza Holmurodova, the parties discussed development of scientific and pedagogical relations between higher education institutions, joint research, organization of scientific conferences and seminars, and academic exchange opportunities for faculty and students.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on expanding mutual experience exchange and future directions of cooperation between the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State University of Education and Science and the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan. Professor Yusif Aliyev expressed his interest in implementing joint scientific and educational initiatives of the Guba branch.
The meeting was also attended by Erkin Nuriddinov, Executive Director of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, professor of the university, Parvana Rzayeva, Deputy Director for educational and scientific affairs of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State University of Political Science, and Latifa Jalilova, head of the Department of General Subjects and Natural Sciences.
The working visit is important in terms of expanding scientific cooperation between higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, developing the exchange of academic experience, and discussing new joint initiatives.
