Azerbaijani basketball teams join FIBA 3x3 Women's Series Pristina Stop 2023
Baku, July 14, AZERTAC
The Azerbaijan national basketball team and Netchi Baku club will test their strength in the next leg of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series to be held in Pristina, Kosovo on July 14 -15.
Azerbaijan will take on USA and Gyor of Hungary in Pool B, while Neftchi will lock horns with the Netherlands and home side Kosovo in Pool D respectively.
The tournament will bring together twelve teams to compete in four Pools.
Created in 2019, the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series is the number one event on the 3x3 women's professional circuit. Steered by FIBA, games see two teams of three players face off on a basketball half-court. 3x3 made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series which welcomes the top professional 3x3 women’s teams for its fourth edition, features 23 events this season.
The season total prize money surpassing 1M USD for the first time ever.
