Azerbaijani journalists studying in Moscow awarded with diplomas
Moscow, June 30 (AZERTAC). The Azeri journalists who have completed an education at one of the most prestigious universities of Russia, Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU), have been awarded diplomas.
The ceremony was attended by Rector of the University, Prof. Irina Khaleyeva, aide of the Editor in Chief of "RIA Novosti" news agency, famous journalist Alan Kasayev, Adviser for Humanitarian Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation Nigar Akhundova, Head of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center at Moscow State Linguistic University, Prof. Bella Musayeva, the faculty of the university.
Addressing the event, Irina Khaleyeva highly valued the Azerbaijani-Russian relations in all spheres. She has emphasized the dynamic and successful development of bilateral Russian-Azerbaijani cultural ties. According to Khaleyeva, the third Inter-regional Russia - Azerbaijan Forum which has just wrapped up in Baku, is an indicator of the high level of interstate relations.
"We are pleased with the high level of relations with Azerbaijan. Our University is home to the Azerbaijani Cultural Center, Russian students are studying the Azeri language here. In addition, representatives of Azerbaijani media receive additional education in our university, thus enhancing their professional qualifications and specific skills. Today we are presenting diplomas to the first group of students studying International Journalism at Moscow State Linguistic University. I hope that this program supported by the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan and “RIA Novosti" will continue in the future, " said Khaleyeva.
Alan Kasayev, in turn, congratulated Azerbaijani journalists on the successful completion of the study. He expressed gratitude to the Head of Socio-Political Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov, for the support of this educational program. "We are carrying out this program for the second year under the personal assistance of Ali Hasanov. Under this program, Azerbaijani journalists get education at the Moscow State Linguistic University, and have practice in "RIA Novosti" agency. This is our first release, and I have no doubt that the Azerbaijani journalists, who have graduated from the Moscow State Linguistic University, will occupy a worthy place in the Azerbaijani media community, using the experience that they acquired during their studies and practice in Moscow,’ said Kasayev.
Counselor of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia Nigar Akhundova passed on a congratulation letter from the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu to the Azerbaijani journalists. Dwelling on the multi-faceted humanitarian cooperation as an important component of bilateral Azerbaijani-Russian relations, Nigar Akhundova expressed confidence that Azerbaijani journalists who have received diplomas of MSLU will make a significant contribution to the deepening and development of the Azerbaijani-Russian cooperation.
Then Rector of MSLU Irina Khaleyeva and Alan Kasayev presented diplomas to the Azeri journalists. Speaking on behalf of Azerbaijani students, AZERTAC reporters Orhan Yolchiyev and Vugar Aliyev thanked the leadership of the university, "RIA Novosti" and the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan for the opportunity to improve the skills at this prestigious academia.
The MSLU diplomas in International Journalism have been presented to correspondents of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency AZERTAC - Nadir Ismayilov, Vugar Aliyev and Orhan Yolchiyev, correspondent of APA news agency Farid Akberov and independent journalists, Aynur Hamidova and Hamid Hamidov.
The education was supported by Russian “RIA Novosti” news agency and Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan.
