Azerbaijan`s ambassador presents credentials to president of Timor-Leste
Baku, February 14 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Indonesia Singapore and Philippines, with concurrent accreditation to Timor-Leste Tamerlan Garayev has presented his credentials to President of Timor-Leste Taur Matan Ruak.
During the conversation, Garayev noted Azerbaijan attached great importance to developing bilateral relations with Timor-Leste.
He also stressed the importance deepening the cooperation within the UN and other international organizations.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Garayev said 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s lands were occupied by Armenia.
President Taur Matan Ruak stressed the importance of developing the relations between the two countries.
Taur Matan Ruak said Timor-Leste put special emphasis on economic cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The Azeri ambassador stressed the importance of holding high level reciprocal visits.
