AZERI MPs MEET NATO PA SUB-COMMITTEE`S REPRESENTATIVES
Baku, April 13 (AZERTAC). Members of Azerbaijan Parliament`s committee for international relations and inter-parliamentary ties met Monday visiting representatives of NATO PA Sub-Committee on NATO Partnerships.
Chief of the Committee Samad Seyidov briefed them on the international relations of Milli Majlis, as well ongoing reforms in the country.
He said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with international organizations, including NATO.
Deputy chief of the committe Gultakin Hajibayli draw attention to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
She said the fact that the dispute still remains unresolved hinders development process in the South Caucasus region.
Hajibayli underlined Armenia still occpupies 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s territories and does not honor relevant documents adopted by international organizations including UN and CoE.
“If Yerevan does not give up its groundless claims, we will have to resort to military means to liberate our territories.”
Chairman of the Sub-Committee Rainer Stinner thanked for the detailed information.
Members of the delegation said efforts to contribute to settling the conflict will be increased.
