Participants of the event honored the blessed memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the heroes of the Patriotic War who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan with a minute of silence.

The President of the Club of Friends of Azerbaijan in Kyrgyzstan, the event moderator Assol Moldokmatova who started with greetings to the participants of the event gave the floor to Ambassador Kairat Osmonaliev.

Ambassador Kairat Osmonaliev provided information about the honorable life path of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and his exceptional role in the history of Azerbaijan. He spoke about the successes achieved by the Great Leader during the years of leadership of Azerbaijan both during the period of the former USSR and the years of independence. Noting that National Leader Heydar Aliyev was one of the leaders of the former USSR, the ambassador described the Great Leader as a world-famous political figure and statesman with great influence. He emphasized that the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev had exceptional merits in strengthening the independent Azerbaijani state and statehood, as well as Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani relations.

Ambassador Kairat Osmonaliev noted that the great statesman Heydar Aliyev treated the Kyrgyz people with special attention and love too.

Noting that more than 20 thousand Azerbaijanis currently live in Kyrgyzstan, the ambassador also emphasized that the foundation of fundamental diplomatic relations between the two countries was laid in 1993. In August 1995, Heydar Aliyev visited Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Third Summit of the Heads of Turkic-Speaking States and met there with his Kyrgyz counterpart. On September 11, 1996, a Protocol was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The ambassador also noted that Azerbaijan has a very successful history of cooperation with Turkic-speaking countries with similar roots. During the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz relations entered a new stage of development. This was confirmed by the visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Azerbaijan. Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan cooperate in all international organizations and always support each other based on national interests.

“The issues discussed at the official meeting of the heads of state and the signed documents gave impetus to the development of relations at the next stage in an ascending manner. Statements by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan to the press, documents signed during the visit, especially the Declaration of Strategic Partnership which is the most important document, show that Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz relations have reached a qualitatively new level, fraternal and friendly relations between the countries will continue to strengthen,” Ambassador Osmonaliev noted.

The ambassador also noted that many books have been and are being written about the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan, and great, interesting, valuable works dedicated to Heydar Aliyev will be created for many years to come: “I highly appreciate every work written about Heydar Aliyev. And, first of all, I believe that this book by Emil Nasirli, dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, is, first of all, an expression of the author’s enormous respect and esteem for the personality of the Great Leader. In the book “100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s Life” dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, one can observe, see and feel this respect and reverence.” Ambassador Osmonaliyev also added that Heydar Aliyev, who was the architect of modern Azerbaijan, improved state institutions, expanded much-needed external relations, implemented a comprehensive energy strategy and laid the foundation for the country’s long-term development. The strategy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev aimed at strengthening Azerbaijani statehood is currently being successfully continued by his worthy successor, President Ilham Aliyev.

At the event, Ambassador of the Azerbaijan Republic to the Kyrgyz Republic Latif Gandilov made a broad speech and noted that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is a genius who has rendered the greatest services to the development of Azerbaijan in the twentieth century.

Ambassador Latif Gandilov emphasized that the life path of a genius is a vivid symbol of endless loyalty and love for the Motherland, native people and nation. Heydar Aliyev, a proud, powerful statesman and invincible politician of Azerbaijan, with his enormous activities rose to the level of the National Leader of the Azerbaijanis of the world and remained a leader with a steely will, whose fame and influence know no bounds in memory and hearts. Azerbaijani people.

The author of the book “100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s Life”, editor-in-chief of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan”, and corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences Emil Nasirli spoke at the presentation ceremony. Emil Nasirli, who provided extensive information about the book “100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s Life” published in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, Romanian and Hebrew within the framework of the international project Publication of the Books Dedicated to the Legacy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, which he is the author of, emphasized that the return of the world-famous political figure Heydar Aliyev to power in independent Azerbaijan, saving the country from the crisis, bringing the truth about Azerbaijan to the world, his merits in declaring a ceasefire in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and other issues are commented on in the book he wrote in the language of documentary descriptions.

Emil Nasirli noted that the book he wrote about Heydar Aliyev also reflects the history of Azerbaijan. After Heydar Aliyev returned to power at the insistence of the people in 1993, Azerbaijan entered a new era. The main result of Heydar Aliyev’s leadership of modern and independent Azerbaijan is that the country that was on the verge of collapse turned into a dynamically developing country. It wasn’t easy. A lot of work was done to put Azerbaijan on the path of development. Heydar Aliyev, who headed the republic as far back as in the 70s of the last century, participated in the opening of plants and factories, laid the foundation of thousands of schools, hospitals and cultural institutions. All this is reflected in the book through photographs.

The author also emphasized that the life path and struggle of this strong personality must be conveyed to the younger generation through books so that they are formed not as an individual, but as a personality. Therefore, the work done by the Great Leader both during the times of the USSR and during the years of independence of Azerbaijan should be conveyed to growing youth through books consisting not only of notes, but also containing photographs. Among the photographs reflecting the new era in the book, a special place is occupied by photographs depicting the laying ceremony of the main Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan export pipeline and other similar moments. All this plays an important role in the study and popularization of our new history.

President Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continued the political course of Heydar Aliyev, raised the reputation of Azerbaijan to the world level. This rise was based on a solid foundation of political strategy. Creating socio-political stability in Azerbaijan in the early 1990s, attracting the world’s attention to Azerbaijan, providing wide scope for economic reforms and improving the social situation of the population are not just the results of current measures. Heydar Aliyev, first of all, determined Azerbaijan’s place in the world and its role in global politics, and was able to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with states that have interests in the region. If we look at the political map of the world, we will see that Azerbaijan is a small state in territory. However, today this small state plays an important role in European energy security.

Emil Nasirli further stated that the foundation of successful state relations established between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan was laid by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. After the National Leader first visited Kyrgyzstan in August 1995 to participate in the III Summit of the Heads of Turkic-Speaking States and events dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the Manas epic, relations that develop year by year have today risen to the level of strategic partnership between the two countries.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov made an official visit to our country. During the visit, the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic was signed.

As part of his state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, President Ilham Aliyev held bilateral negotiations and also took part in the I meeting of the Interstate Council. Next, a signing ceremony of Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz documents took place. The presidents made statements to the press. With the participation of the President of Azerbaijan, the opening of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Friendship Park and Heydar Aliyev and Nizami Ganjavi Secondary School took place.

Member of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, Head of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani Parliamentary Friendship Group Iskander Matraimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Azerbaijan Republic to Kyrgyzstan Republic Latif Gandilov, Chairman of the Council of the People’s Assembly of Kyrgyzstan Almanbet Matubraimov, legendary ex-speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Medekan Sherimkulov, Chairman of the Society of Friendship and Cooperation “Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan”, Honored Doctor of the Kyrgyz Republic Akif Alaferdov, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, President of the Aitmatov Public Association International Issyk-Kul Forum, founder of the Club of Friends of Azerbaijan Asgar Aitmatov, film director, Honored Cultural Worker of the Kyrgyz Republic Zamir Eraliev, Chairman of the Public Association of Kyrgyzstan Union of Progressive Azerbaijanis of Central Asia Khansuvar Bakhshaliyev who spoke at the presentation ceremony brought to the attention that the blessed memory of the Great Leader is honored with great respect both in Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz people are closely related to each other due to history, language, religion and cultural values, relations between these two peoples go deep into history; in the first years of independence, Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz relations, like relations with the rest of the Turkic states of Central Asia, were mainly carried out within the framework of cooperation in the work of international and regional organizations, and National Leader Heydar Aliyev had invaluable services in expanding bilateral ties. It was especially noted that Azerbaijan reliably continues extensive political, economic and cultural ties with Kyrgyzstan, as well as with other Turkic-speaking countries. The goal of both countries is to promote the development, political and cultural unity of the Turkic world. The state visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the Kyrgyz Republic, the meeting with President Sadyr Zhaparov, the signed documents and the opinions expressed by the leaders indicate that the foundation for a new stage of comprehensive cooperation has been laid in the relations between the two fraternal countries. All this becomes an example in the development of fraternal relations between Turkic-speaking countries.

An extensive exchange of views on the formation and development of new, mutually beneficial relations of Azerbaijan with all world centers of power, with neighboring and non-neighboring states, including Kyrgyzstan, relations with large and regional states that have interests and influence in the South Caucasus, which occupy a special place in Heydar Aliyev’s foreign policy, took place at the presentation ceremony.

During the presentation ceremony, the Chairman of the Public Association of Kyrgyzstan Union of Progressive Azerbaijanis of Central Asia Khansuvar Bakhshaliyev presented Emil Nasirli with a memorable gift.

At the end of the event, the author of the book, corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences Emil Nasirli presented the book “100 Moments of Heydar Aliyev’s Life” to the participants of the event.
