National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 103rd anniversary marked in Riyadh

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Saudi Arabia hosted an event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
The event brought together the embassy staff and diaspora activists.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mutallim Mirzayev highlighted the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev, his role in the history of Azerbaijani statehood, his contributions in strengthening the country's independence and enhancing the country’s authority on the international arena.
The diplomat underlined that the preservation of Azerbaijan's independence and building statehood traditions were possible precisely thanks to the visionary policy and decisive leadership of the National Leader. He noted that thanks to the resolute leadership of Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan successfully navigated the crises of its early independence, setting the nation on a definitive path toward progress.
The diplomat emphasized that the political and economic strategy established by the National Leader is being successfully continued today by President Ilham Aliyev.
The ambassador emphasized that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has further enhanced its strong position in the region and fully ensured its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
