DELEGATION OF GYMNASTICS FEDERATION ATTENDS CONGRESS
Main event of the forum is to become elections of the leading bodies of FIG, AzerTAj correspondent learnt from the press-service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. Acting President of International Federation, Italian Bruno Grandi, the only candidate to this post, will deliver report “On strategic program for 2005-2008s”.
New regulations of FIG tournaments and qualification for Olympic games will be arranged at the congress. Also the new rules on gymnastic disciplines to come into effect since January 1, 2005 are to be approved.
Besides, since next year, anti-dope program will come into force. Within the framework of the Congress, the Azerbaijan delegation will hold regular presentation of the World Rhythmic Championship due in Baku, on October 3-9, 2005.
Film on development of gymnastics in the capital of Azerbaijan, contests of World Cup in Baku, achievements of the National Olympic Committee led by President of the Republic Ilham Aliyev will be demonstrated. Delegates of the Forum will also familiarize with the bulletin of the World Championship, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of which is the President of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Mehriban Aliyeva.
