“Face of Friendship” film presents National Leader’s legacy in Batumi

A documentary film titled "The Face of Friendship" dedicated to the Great Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev premiered Tuesday in Batumi, Georgia.
The gathering witnessed the presence of notable figures, including Consul General of Azerbaijan in Batumi Parviz Ismayilzade, Minister of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Zaza Shavadze, Consul General of the Republic of Turkiye in Batumi Riza Kagan Yilmaz, members of the state and government of the autonomous republic, deputies, SOCAR employees, local politicians, and public figures.
Commencing with the national anthems of both Azerbaijan and Georgia, the event paid solemn homage to the memory of the Great Leader through a minute of silence.
During the presentation ceremony, Parviz Ismayilzade, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Batumi, provided an in-depth overview of the life and contributions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
He underscored the enduring relevance of Heydar Aliyev's peace strategy and principles of sincere and friendly neighborliness, emphasizing that these foundations laid by the Great Leader are being successfully continued today under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Zaza Shavadze, Minister of Agriculture, spoke about the good neighborly and friendly relations between the two countries.
He said Georgian people have deep feelings of love and sympathy to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The screenplay delves into the perspectives of Azerbaijani and Georgian state and government officials, politicians, scholars, and public figures on the National Leader. During the presentation, insights were shared by Consul General of Turkiye Riza Kagan Yilmaz, historian and scholar Ramiz Bakirov, and the film's director and cinematographer Elnur Velizade.
The documentary, made with the support of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Georgia, features the outstanding editorial work of AZERTAC’s special correspondent in Tbilisi, Khatayi Azizov.
