First Young Scholars Conference on Azerbaijan Research in Germany held in Berlin
Baku, June 20 (AZERTAC). The first conference on Azerbaijan Research in Germany took place in Berlin on June 15-17.
The event supported by SOCAR Representative Office in Germany was co-organized by the Azerbaijan Student Network (ASN) and the Endowed Chair “History of Azerbaijan” of the Humboldt University of Berlin.
The aim was to provide a platform to Azerbaijani and German academics in order to present and discuss their scientific research results. The conference contributed to the coordination and consolidation of Azerbaijan Research in Germany through the professional exchange and networking of Azerbaijani and German scholars. Subsequently, the conference plans to publish as a volume (electronic + print).
The call for papers was primarily aimed at young researchers (students, doctoral candidates and postdoctoral fellows) from all disciplines, focusing in any way on Azerbaijan in their research work.
“Azerbaijan Student Network” (ASN) was founded by students and postgraduates as well as young professionals in October 2011. The ASN, based in Berlin, represents the academic, professional, cultural and social interests of all young people connecting Europe and Azerbaijan. It is an open network abroad for Azerbaijani students in Germany and other European countries.
