Heriot-Watt University representative visits SOCAR
Baku, October 7 (AZERTAC). SOCAR Vice-president on human resources, regime and information technologies Mr. Khalik Mammadov met with International Officer at Heriot-Watt University Ms. Andrea Schwedler at Company`s Head office. By welcoming the guests, Mr. Mammadov spoke about the works carried out within educational programs of SOCAR and Company`s human resources policy. Ms. Andrea Schwedler expressed the interest in expansion of the cooperation relations with SOCAR in educational sphere and attraction of the SOCAR scholars to Heriot-Watt University. She spoke about schools attached to Heriot-Watt University, education programs at that schools, conditions created for the students, as well as relations established with many oil and gas companies of the world, including cooperation perspectives between SOCAR and Heriot-Watt University, and their proposals in this connection. SOCAR Vice-president on human resources, regime and information technologies Mr. Khalik Mammadov gave detailed information on SOCAR Scholarship Program and achievements in this connection. Besides, he mentioned that one SOCAR scholar has successfully graduated from this University on “drilling” specialty. According to him, expansion of successful cooperation relations with Heriot-Watt University in future is advisable. At the end of the meeting, SOCAR Vice-president presented the “Azerbaijan`s oil” book, issued both in Azeri and English, to the guest for the library of the University.
