HUFFINGTONPOST HIGHLIGHTS AZERBAIJAN-ISRAEL RELATIONS
Baku, March 24 (AZERTAC). American news website www.huffingtonpost.com has published an article on Azerbaijan-Israel relations.
The article says Azerbaijan is “well known for its pragmatic and balanced foreign policy”, as well as purposeful oil strategy.
The article praises the two nations` relations, saying the Jews of Azerbaijan fought alongside their Muslim countrymen both when they struggled for their independence and in Armenia`s war to conquer parts of Azerbaijan.
“Muslims and Jews have harmoniously lived and worked side by side in Azerbaijan for centuries as equals.”
“As Azerbaijan became independent and stable, these Jews began to travel back to Azerbaijan and develop business and cultural relationships. Many Jews from Azerbaijan now live in both nations.”
The article, in particular, highlights the Azerbaijan-Israel bilateral trade.
“In terms of sheer economics, the value of trade between the two nations has risen to a whopping $3.6 billion USD per annum.
