INDONESIA`s STANCE ON NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT WILL REMAIN ‘UNCHANGED’
Baku, April 21 (AZERTAC). Indonesia`s stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will remain unchanged and we consider that the dispute must be settled on the basis of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity, said Indonesian Deputy Chairman of House of Representatives Pramono Anung Vibon during his meeting with Speaker of Azerbaijan Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov.
He noted a special group on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be set up in Indonesia`s parliament.
On the relationship between the two countries, Vibon praised it.
Ogtay Asadov, in turn, said his country attaches great importance to boosting cooperation with Indonesia. “We have great opportunities to expand bilateral economic cooperation,” he said.
Asadov said the volume of trade turnover between the two countries exceeds $600 million.
The Speaker also underlined the role of the two countries` legislative bodies in development of bilateral ties.
He thanked the Indonesian government for backing Azerbaijan`s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia Ibrahim Hajıyev was present in the meeting.
