Israeli radio station airs program on Azerbaijan
Baku, March 30 (AZERTAC). Israeli radio station “Reshet Bet” (Voice of Israel) aired a three-hour program “International route” dedicated to Azerbaijan.
The participants of the program were natives of Azerbaijan, editor and presenter Nativ Robinzon, journalist of “Radio Reka” Victoriya Dolinskaya and director general of “Israel-Azerbaijan” international association Lev Spivak.
An one hour of the program was dedicated to Azerbaijan`s modern history. Professor of the Haifa University Avinoam Idan and the guests spoke about war with Armenia, occupied territories of Azerbaijan, role of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, who stopped the war and led the young democracy to stable development, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continues a political course of the national leader and leads the country to prosperity and world recognition.
Chief of Azerbaijan cultural center under the Aziz association Yegana Salman told of the past and present of Azerbaijan.
Representatives of the international foundation “STMAGI” in Israel Robert Abramov told of life of mountain Jews in Azerbaijan, STMAGI Foundation instituted by the well-known patrons, Zakharyevs family. Living in Moscow, the natives of Krasnaya Sloboda settlement of Guba region of Azerbaijan have established the charitable foundation STMAGI to support the mountain Jews.
The foundation under the leadership of the vice-president of the Russian Jewish Congress German Zakharyev has made a lot for its community in Azerbaijan, Russia, Israel and USA.
The compositions of Azerbaijani classics Uzeyir Hajibayli, Fikrat Amirov, Gara Garayev, jazz improvisations Vagif Mustafazade and coryphaeus of Azerbaijani variety Rashid Beybudov and Muslim Magomayev were performed in the radio station.
