Russian historians meet Azerbaijani journalists
Baku, February 17 (AZERTAC). The Russian historians met with Azerbaijani journalists in the press-center of Ria-Novosti news agency in Baku within the “Year of Russian history”.
The organizers of the “Year of Russian history” in Azerbaijan are historical faculty of the Moscow State University, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the “Herald of Caucasus” analytical news agency.
Deputy Dean of MSU historical faculty Alexsey Vlasov said the aim of the events, which are held in Baku, is to join efforts of Azerbaijani and Russian historians to study the history of both states, keep the common scientific historical space between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Mr. Vlasov said: “the conference of the young historians will be also held within the framework of the “Year of Russian history” in 2012-2013. A conference dedicated to the jubilee of national leader Heydar Aliyev will be held in Moscow and in Baku next year. The events with participation of the experts and historians of Azerbaijan National Academy of Science, Baku State University and Baku Slavonic University will be also held in Moscow.
He said the scientific works on various aspects of Azerbaijani-Russian relations will be soon presented in Baku.
