‘SUICIDE BOMBERS’ KILL MANY IN LAHORE, PAKISTAN
Baku, March 12 (AZERTAC). Two suicide bombers have killed at least 20 people in the Pakistani city of Lahore, officials say.
At least 25 people were also injured in the blasts - which occurred in busy areas of the city.
No group has said it carried out the attacks. Lahore has been targeted several times over the past year.
On Monday 13 people died in a suicide bombing claimed by the Taliban which destroyed a building used by Pakistan`s intelligence services.
Friday`s explosions were reported to be small blasts, but occurred at a busy time during Friday prayers.
The first took place near the RA Bazaar - a residential and shopping district where several army and security agencies have facilities.
The second attack happened near the Saddar roundabout.
Pakistani TV showed security forces being deployed and ambulances rushing to the scene.
