Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia business forum held in Kars
Kars, June 11 (AZERTAC). The second Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia business forum was arranged here.
The forum was attended by Turkey`s Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Vera Kobalia.
Calling the trilateral business forum as “three seas project,” Zafer Caglayan said Turkey would continue to make efforts to secure peace and stability in the region.
“Azerbaijan`s sensitivity is our sensitivity. Azerbaijan`s happiness and sadness is also ours,” said Caglayan, describing Turkey`s attitude towards the issue.
“Turkey will not resume diplomatic relations with Armenia until Yerevan “ends its occupation in Azerbaijan`s territories.”
Caglayan said investments between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia were increased with each passing day. Caglayan noted that the three countries were aimed to have a virtually free trade zone.
He also underlined that the three countries demonstrated a very good example for other countries on resolution of the global economic problems.
Azerbaijani Minister noted that this forum aroused a keen interest among Azerbaijani government and businessmen.
“Our companies are ready to boost cooperation. Nowadays, Azerbaijan has strong infrastructure and huge potential,” he added.
Touching upon the significance of railway project between Baku, Tbilisi and Kars, Vera Kobalia said that this railway would open a new page for cooperation of three countries. She also praised Azerbaijani government`t efforts in implementation of the transport and energy projects.
Presentations by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and relevant offices of Turkey and Georgia were organized in the forum.
Forum attendees visited monument to national lieder Heydar Aliyev in Kars and put flowers on it.
They also inspected the construction at the Heydar Aliyev vocational lyceum launched by Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR).
SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev and Azerbaijani Consul General in Kars Ayhan Suleymanov also participated in the event.
