WUF Academy: Outcomes and prospects - closing ceremony

The closing ceremony of the WUF Academy was held within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).
The final discussion, held in cooperation with ADA University, summarized the key outcomes developed during the "Campus" program, thereby defining future lines of action for research, partnership, and capacity building in the fields of housing provision and urban planning.
Speaking at the final session of the "WUF Academy" held in cooperation with ADA University, Anar Valiyev, Associate Professor at the ADA University, stated that the main objective of the program is to identify shared directions of activity in research, collaboration, and personnel training for urban planning and housing policy.
Anar Valiyev noted that throughout the discussions held within the framework of the "WUF Academy," participants from various countries shared their ideas regarding urban development, innovative approaches, and the sustainable growth of cities. According to him, ADA University participated as an observer in this process, contributing to the collection and analysis of the main proposals and conclusions.
Anar Valiyev emphasized that the discussions conducted within the academy were not limited solely to theoretical approaches, but also served to develop a practical action plan. He added that the findings presented by students and researchers could pave the way for shaping a joint research agenda in the future.
According to him, the main advantage of this format is that experts from different regions and fields come together to collectively discuss current challenges and innovative solutions in the field of urban planning.
