11th International Pesticides Forum continues in Gabala
Baku, September 9 (AZERTAC). The 11th International HCH and Pesticides Forum, co-organized by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and International HCH & Pesticides Association is underway in Azerbaijan`s town of Gabala.
In the second day of the Forum the experts discussed elimination of outdated pesticides in Moldova and their management in Slovenia for the last ten years, as well as situation related to the relevant sphere in Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan.
Representatives from Germany, UK, and the US made reports on inventorization and storage of pesticides, instruments for estimating pesticide areas, public health, and purification plants for polluted water, environmental pollution monitoring and other issues.
The session also saw debates on current problems in relevant sphere in Azerbaijan.
The Forum participants viewed a film about pesticides during the event.
The Forum supported by Netherlands, Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, and Research Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment (RECETOX), German Federal Environment Agency is attended by over 120 experts from 40 countries.
