ASAIF`s second conference discusses lobbying and Diaspora issues
Budapest, April 9 (AZERTAC). The panel meetings of the conference of the Azerbaijani Students and Alumni International Forum (ASAIF) under the motto “I am a young ambassador” discussed issues on lobbying and Diaspora activities of Azerbaijani youth abroad, role of social networks, human capital etc.
According to the Samaya Mammadova, spokeswoman of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sport, the guests of the panel “The formation of Diaspora, lobbying and organization activities of Azerbaijani youth studying abroad: opinion and prospects” were founder and chairman of the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) Taleh Heydarov and chair of the Azerbaijan America Alliance Anar Mammadov.
Addressing the event, Tale Heydarov said that the society plans to publish a book on 100 students sent to study abroad during the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. He also underlined the preparation of the documentary to the effect.
“The main aim of our activity is to popularize Azerbaijan in Europe and educate people on the country`s truths. TEAS has special conceptions prepared by experts on Diaspora and lobbying activities,” Mr. Heydarov added.
Anar Mammadov, in his turn, touched upon youth`s career opportunities. He said that the Azerbaijan America Alliance was established in Washington in 2011 praising the activity of the facility on the awareness of the world communities on the Khojaly genocide.
Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Republic Misir Mardanov and Executive Director of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan Republic Shahmar Movsumov participated in the discussion on “Education abroad: returning of human capital and career opportunities”.
