Azerbaijan, Belarus strengthen cooperation in tourism

Azerbaijan participated in the International Tourism Forum “Travel HUB Commonwealth” 2026 held in Minsk, Belarus.
The forum, which took place on April 7-9, brought together tourism authorities, industry stakeholders, and experts from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, providing a platform for discussing major trends and opportunities affecting the development of regional tourism.
Advisor to Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Kanan Guluzade and Director of the Representative Office of Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) in Russia Jalal Ismayilov took part in panel discussions on gastro and agrotourism, as well as active and eco-tourism, held as part of the forum. The event also featured roundtables on gastronomic brands, agrotourism and active and eco-tourism.
During the discussions, Azerbaijan’s tourism potential was presented, highlighting its growing appeal as a year-round destination, with emphasis on its culinary heritage, agrotourism, and nature-based tourism, particularly regional gastronomy, wine routes, and mountain outdoor activities.
During the forum, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Kirill Masharsky, Head of the National Tourism Agency of Belarus, to discuss expanding cooperation, increasing mutual tourist flows, and strengthening bilateral ties.
The Azerbaijani delegation also met with leading Belarusian tour operators to explore new opportunities for tourism exchange.
