Azerbaijan enhances tourism ties in Pakistani market
Baku, April 7, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan showcased its tourism potential at the “Pakistan Travel Mart 2026” in Karachi and at the “PTM Roadshow” events in Islamabad.
Organized by the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, the national stand was represented by five local tourism industry partners, including the Shahdag Tourism Center and Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL).
The exhibition and accompanying events featured B2B meetings aimed at promoting Azerbaijan’s tourism potential, assessing cooperation prospects, and showcasing the country’s leisure, luxury, adventure, and cultural tourism offerings to participants.
The events held in both cities serve as an important platform for strengthening Azerbaijan’s position in the Pakistani market and for developing bilateral tourism relations.
Additionally, last year the number of visitors from Pakistan to Azerbaijan increased by 13 percent, reaching 91,043 people. In January–February of the current year, it amounted to 12,399, marking a 14 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
