Azerbaijan represented at PATA Annual Summit - convention of global tourism leaders

The State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) participated in the Annual Summit of the Asia-Pacific Tourism Association (PATA) held in Pohang and Gyeongju, Korea.
The Summit, organized on the theme of “Navigating Towards a Resilient Future,” brought together the tourism leaders of the Asia-Pacific region, serving as a platform for discussions around the future development prospects of the industry and the challenges ahead.
As part of the Summit, the Azerbaijani delegation attended a session themed “Sustainable Tourism Governance in a Post-APEC Landscape.”
The session featured discussions regarding effective government governance approaches in tourism against the backdrop of shifting geopolitical, economic, and environmental realities.
The discussions focused on the coordination of tourism policies, sustainable management of tourism destinations, cross-border cooperation, and sustainable development of tourism.
During the meeting between Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), and Noor Ahmad Hamid, PATA's Chief Executive Officer, the sides exchanged views on the opportunities for international tourism cooperation and Azerbaijan's prospects in the Asia-Pacific region.
PATA brings together tourism management organizations, distinguished partners in the Asia-Pacific travel and tourism industry every year as one of the most influential networks of global tourism.
