Azerbaijan welcomes up to 340,000 tourists in January–February 2026

A total of 337,300 foreigners and stateless persons visited Azerbaijan in January–February 2026, representing a decrease of 0.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to the State Statistical Committee, 23.2% of arrivals were from the Russian Federation, 21.1% from Türkiye, 9.0% from Iran, 5.0% from Georgia, 4.6% from India, 3.7% from Pakistan, 3.6% from Kazakhstan, 3.2% from Saudi Arabia, 2.9% from Uzbekistan, 2.6% from Israel, 2.0% from China, 1.4% each from Kuwait, the UAE, and Ukraine, while 12.3% were citizens of other countries. A total of 72.0% of arrivals were men and 28.0% were women.
Compared to the same period in 2025, the number of arrivals from European Union member states increased by 26.4% to 13,900 persons, arrivals from the Gulf countries decreased by 10.9% to 55,300 persons, arrivals from CIS countries increased by 3.4% to 111,100 persons, and arrivals from other countries decreased by 0.7% to 157,000 persons.
