AZERBAIJANI GRAND MASTER RAUF MAMMADOV WINS GOLD MEDAL AT EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Azerbaijani grandmaster Rauf Mammadov has won a golden medal among 16-year-old juniors at the European Chess Championship in Turkey. With 9 matches he garnered 7,5 points. Azerbaijan ranked fourth among teams. Azerbaijan was represented by 32 athletes. Competitions were conducted in the 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 age groups.
