AZERBAIJANI MP RAISE AZERBAIJAN IDP ISSUE AT PACE WINTER SESSION
Strasbourg, January 29 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani MP Gultekin Hajibeyli has brought up the issue of Azerbaijani IDPs despite rapporteur did not include the issue concerning of Azerbaijan into his report at the PACE winter session, which has today discussed the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons.
Member of the Azerbaijan delegation Gultekin Hajibeyli has included information about the situation in the aftermath of Armenia`s occupation of Azerbaijani lands into the explanatory part of the report. This information was distributed as an official document along with the report.
“I represent Azerbaijan, which has a million of refugees and IDPs. As MP who saw their living conditions, I can say, we are their only hope! What did the Council of Europe do to live up to their expectations?,” she said.
