Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Ecology joins high-level dialogue at WUF13

As part of the WUF13, Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources took part in a high-level dialogue themed "The Climate-Housing Nexus,” organized by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
Discussions featured speeches by First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Aghakerim Samadzade; Managing Director of Regions and Mayoral Engagement at C40 Shruti Narayan, and Birgit Pickel, Director-General for Sustainable Development and Climate at Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
In his remarks, Aghakerim Samadzade highlighted Azerbaijan’s reconstruction efforts in Garabagh and East Zangezur, environmental projects, and the Azerbaijan–Türkiye Forestry Training Center in Jabrayil.
The panel, moderated by UN Resident Coordinator in Türkiye Babatunde Ahonsi, discussed green and energy-efficient infrastructure, nature-based solutions in urban planning, and the role of key stakeholders.
