Azerbaijan`s Public Health and Reforms Center holds meeting
Baku, May 18 (AZERTAC). A meeting of local and foreign heath organizations was held in the Public Health and Reforms Center of Azerbaijan Ministry of Health.
The meeting featured discussion on progress achieved in the development of public health and publications on vaccine calendar prepared by the Public Health and Reforms Center.
Employee of the United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA) Zuleykha Najafova provided information on the project entitled “Social Rights Development community-based strategies to include vulnerable and isolated children to pre-school education”.
“It is funded by the EU and will continue 2 years. The program is being implemented by UAFA and CIE in 4 regions of the country- Sumgayit, Bilasuvar, Lankaran and Siyazan. The main priority of the project is to strengthen partnership between civil society and the State at community level, to reduce inequality of public service provision, focusing on children`s services, to improve inclusion of children with disabilities to education system”.
Representatives of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, AbtAssociates, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the country and other organizations updated participants on their activities.
