Azeri artist`s work to be displayed in US
Baku, June 14 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani painter Mehriban Efendi`s works will be demonstrated in a special exhibition in Broadway Street of New York, the United States (UN) on Monday.
The exhibition will be accompanied by popular music bands performance and special VIP Party.
“Art Takes Times Square” is a massive, global art project curated by the Times Square Alliance and Chashama.
Times Square Arts, the public arts program of the Times Square Alliance, presents world-class cutting-edge art and performances in multiple forms and media to the 360,000 to 500,000 daily visitors to New York City`s Times Square, making it one of the highest profile public arts programs in the United States.
Since its inception, Times Square Arts has featured more than four dozen works by a diverse group of prominent and emerging artists. Projects and collaborations include Hidemi Takagi`s Blender, Meeting Bowls by mmmm..., Risa Jaroslow and Dancers, Theatre For One, Electronic Arts Intermix and MTV, Urban Remix, Liz Magic Laser`s Flight, Kyu Seok Oh`s Counting Sheep, The Times Square Armory Show, Creative Time`s Key to the City, Shen Wei Dance Arts, Hip Hop Theater Festival, and Performa `09 & `11.
Working in partnership with cultural institutions and festivals, the program is further supported by Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Rockefeller Foundation`s Cultural Innovation Fund, which works to spur and support cultural innovation in New York City`s creative sector.
