Baku hosts reception marking Belarus' Independence Day

On June 30, an official reception was held in Baku to mark the Independence Day of Belarus.
In his remarks, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich highlighted his country's recent achievements and economic development.
He emphasized the crucial role played by the leaders of both countries in elevating bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership, adding that reciprocal visits, as well as the productive work of intergovernmental commissions and interparliamentary friendship groups, have contributed significantly to strengthening these ties.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus have developed steadily since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
He emphasized that both countries attach particular importance to expanding cooperation across all sectors, including the economy, trade, and investment.
The Deputy Prime Minister also recalled Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko's state visit to Azerbaijan in 2024 and his subsequent trip to the Garabagh region, during which he announced the participation of Belarusian companies in the reconstruction of Azerbaijan's liberated territories.
Following the official remarks, the event continued with an artistic program.
