Baku to host CTE-2013 exhibition
Baku, November 20 (AZERTAC). The 4th International CTE 2013 Environmental Protection Exhibition will kick off in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku Wednesday.
The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action). The organisers of the exhibition are Iteca Caspian and their partners ITE Group Plc from the United Kingdom.
CTE 2013 is a key event in the sphere of ecology and protection of environment in the Caspian and Caucasus regions, which presents a combination of innovative developments in environmental protection and environmental management.
The purpose of the exhibition is to promote and introduce innovative environmental equipment and technologies to Azerbaijan, which will help to ensure the protection of natural resources and improve the quality of life of the population. This year, CTE will host 58 companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Turkey, UAE, Russia and other countries.
The exhibition will showcase the latest developments in the efficient use of natural and renewable resources, including wind, water and soil, and will demonstrate state-of-the-art equipment for producing alternative energy. Leading oil companies will deliver presentations on their environmental projects which aim to eliminate the consequences of long-term oil and gas development in Azerbaijan. SOCAR, BP, Saipem and others will participate in the exhibition. The companies expected to make their debut at this year`s show will bring to Baku new technologies for decontamination of soil and water and for toxic waste management.
The exhibition will demonstrate the newest developments in the sphere of the effective exploitation of natural resources and modern examples of alternative energy generation equipment, attracting the attention of millions of people to issues related to the protection of the environment and finding solutions for them.
