Days of Azerbaijani culture kick off in Kazakhstan

Baku, June 8 (AZERTAC). The days of Azerbaijani culture have today started at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The event is held in accordance with the long-term cooperation program in the fields of culture, science and tourism between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

The event has brought together TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zakir Hashimov, as well as workers of culture and art of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Diaspora and mass media outlets.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Askar Buribayev said the relations between the two countries were rapidly developing in all spheres.

Azerbaijan`s Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Sevda Mammadaliyeva said due to the efforts of Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the relations reached today`s level.

The event participants saw the photo exhibition "Azerbaijan: the merger of tradition and modernity".
