Days of Azerbaijani culture to be continued in Odessa
Kiev, June 4 (AZERTAC). Under the Days of the Azerbaijani culture in Ukraine, the play “Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastali-shah” by the founder of the national drama, classic of Azerbaijani literature Mirza Fatali Akhundzade was staged at the Ukrainian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after T.G. Shevchenko on Saturday.
The play of the Azerbaijan State Drama Theater named after S.Vurgun is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Akhundzade’s birthday.
The event brought together Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev, as well as Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine Timofei Kohan, Azerbaijani ambassador to Kiev Eynulla Madatly, Ukraine officials, heads of International organizations, representative of the diplomatic corps in Kiev, Azerbaijani diaspora and the media.
The play aroused interest of the Ukraine and foreign guests.
Today, the Days of Azerbaijani culture will be continued in Odessa.
The concert of art masters of Azerbaijan is due at the Odessa National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet today. The play “Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mastali-shah” will be staged today at the Odessa Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after V.Vasilko as well.
The days of Azerbaijani culture will run till Tuesday.
