Emirati Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi elected as new speaker of Arab Parliament

Emirati Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi was elected as the new president of the Arab Parliament during the procedural session of the first meeting of the fourth legislative body held recently at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, for two years.
The correspondent of AZERTAC informs that it was stated on the page of the Arab parliament on social networks that Al-Yamahi assumed the post of president after Bahraini Adel Abdul Rahman Al-Asumi, two consecutive terms.
In his speech on this occasion, the Chairman of the Arab Parliament, Muhammad Ahmed Al Yamahi, emphasized that the problems faced by the Arab nation require non-traditional efforts and solutions from the Arab parliamentarians, rather, it is necessary to use all the means of the parliament. Diplomacy, according to the nature and seriousness of these challenges, calls for finding autonomous Arab solutions that preserve national unity in the Arab state, prioritize the value of the state over narrow factional interests, ensure permanent coexistence among all its sects, and protect national opportunities.
In the field of foreign relations, Al-Yamahi stressed that the Arab Parliament will try to make its voice heard and exert its influence in all regional and international parliamentary forums not only to defend Arab issues but also to raise the voice of Arab countries.
