Foreign diplomats briefed on Azerbaijan's tourism potential

On February 5, the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan organized a presentation for members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.
The event, aimed at raising awareness of Azerbaijan’s tourism potential, brought together representatives of more than 50 diplomatic missions and international organizations, including ambassadors, attachés, and secretaries.
Addressing the event, Azada Huseynova, Deputy Chairperson of the State Tourism Agency, emphasized the importance of sharing Azerbaijan’s tourism experience and ongoing initiatives with the diplomatic community.
Teymur Suleymanzade, Deputy CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), delivered a presentation on the strategic development priorities of the country’s tourism sector, tourism products, marketing activities carried out in 2025, and plans for 2026.
Participants received detailed information on Azerbaijan’s tourism strategy, including cultural heritage tourism, gastronomy tourism, nature and ecotourism, as well as winter tourism.
The speakers noted that the presentation aims to strengthen Azerbaijan’s position on the global tourism map, with a particular focus on expanding its presence in European, Middle Eastern, and Asian markets.
